The Easter Cantata is a special performance that portrays the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Based on the Scripture,
Gracias Choir takes the audience back in time two thousand years ago to Jerusalem,
where Jesus and the disciples sat and spoke together in an upper room.
Then to the hill of Gethsemane,
where Jesus prayed before receiving mockery and torment at the hands of the soldiers before he was hung on the cross.
And then finally, to the third day when Jesus resurrected from the tomb where he was buried.
All of the set pieces, props, music, lighting, acting, and dialogue are accurately recreated and reenacted by the Gracias Choir.
